Presentation Guideline
Oral Presentation Guidelines
Not only foreign participants who are unable to participate in the conference due to COVID-19, also the domestic participants should submit their presentation videos.

Please note that the prerecorded presentation can considered as a replacement for your attendance at the conference.

Presentation Time

For the regular papers (including special session and industrial session), the time slot per paper is 15 minutes, typically 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for Q&As.
A PC (MS Window 10 with Powerpoint and Acrobat reader installed) is prepared in each session room. All presentations should be conducted using this PC.

Presentation Material Preparation Guideline for Oral Presenters
1. A presentation Slide (Mandatory for All Oral Presenters)
Presentation should be clearly structured. Please refer to the Slide Preparation Guideline.

A presentation slide (PPT file) and the presenter’s short biography (Microsoft word file) must be submitted before the session so that they will be ready at the beginning of the session. Send your slides before May 20, 2022.

Slide(Video) Preparation Guideline (Template)

The file name must be the following format:
  AICAS2022_(Session Name)_(Paper No.)_(Presenter Name).pptx(.doc, docx, pdf)
  e.g., AICAS2022_DCAS1_001_Gil Dong Hong.pptx (for slide)
          AICAS2022_DCAS1_001_Gil Dong Hong.docx (for short bio.)

Poster & Live Demo Presentation Guidelines
Poster & Live demo sessions are a valuable method for authors to present papers and meet with interested attendees for in-depth technical discussions. Therefore, it is important that presenters should display their results clearly as to attract people.
If it is not possible to attend the on-site presentation, the presenter can provide video presentation for the poster.

Not only the foreign participants who are unable to participate in the conference due to COVID-19, also the domestic participants should submit their slide files and short presentation videos.

Please note that the prerecorded presentation can be considered as a replacement for your attendance at the conference.

Presentation Material Preparation Guideline for Poster Presenters
1. A Poster (Mandatory for On-site Poster Presenters)
Poster boards will be prepared in portrait format with a maximum size of 85 cm (width) by 120 cm (height). Our recommendation is A0 size (841mm * 1189mm).
Presenters are recommended to attach their posters by using adhesive tapes (which are available on-site).

Authors (or presenters) are expected:
(1) To set up their posters prior to the session.
(2) To be present with your poster during the poster session.
(3) To explain your papers to the collected audience.

Presentation Time

Set up Time: June 13, 2022, from 9 AM~
Standing Time: June 15, 2022, from 1:10 PM~2:40 PM

*Oversea participants who are unable to participate in the conference: If you would like to print a poster file (pdf or ppt) and display it on site, please let us know the secretariat email(aicas2022.conf@gmail.com). We are going to print the file and display the poster.

2. A Poster PDF file (Mandatory for All Poster Presenters)
The PDF presentations must be prepared according to the template and submitted by May 20, 2022. If you do not submit within the deadline, the presentation is not possible.
Please resize Poster to A4 size(210mm*297mm).

Poster(Live Demo) Guideline (Template)

The file name must be the following format:
  “AICAS2022_Poster_(Paper No.)_(Presenter Name).pdf“
  e.g. AICAS2022_Poster_001_Gil Dong Hong.pdf

Two Poster boards will be provided for the Live Demo.

(2) To be present with your poster during the live demo session.
(3) To explain their works and demonstrate the system to the collected audience.

Video Presentation Guidelines

The Video presentations must be prepared according to the guidelines below and submitted by before May 20, 2022. If you do not submit within the deadline, the presentation is not possible.

We request you to prepare and upload a video of your presentation, consisting of a brief introduction with a webcam, if desired, followed by voice-over slides for your presentation. Please note that the file must be a video file in MP4 format (more details below).

Our recommended approach to record a compatible video from the content displayed on your computer screen and voice recording via the computer microphone is to record the presentation using Zoom, available to users on most platforms and in most countries. (In this method, you can show your face via webcam (if you’d like).)

For Authors located in China who are unable to access Zoom for free, we recommend using the free software OBS(https://obsproject.com/), which allows also to capture simultaneously yourself while speaking and your slides.

Guidelines for preparing your video
  • Slide Format: 16:9
  • Recommended Encoding Settings:
    – Format: MP4
    – Compression: H.264 (AAC for Audio)
    – Resolution: Minimum height of 480 pixels
    – Frame Rate: Content should be encoded and uploaded in the same frame rate it was recorded. Common frame rates include: 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, 60 fps
    – Bitrate: Variable
  • File Size:
    – 10 to 12 minutes: 150 MB or less
    – 5 minutes: 50MB or less

  • File Naming Convention:
    Videos should be named “AICAS2022_(Session Name)_(Paper ID#)_(Name).mp4″
    e.g., AICAS2022_DCAS1_001_Gil Dong Hong.mp4
  • Duration
    – Lecture: 12 min.
    – Poster: 5 min.
    – Live Demo: 5 min.

    Note : The above Duration is for pre-recording your presentation video, excluding the Q&A time during the real-time presentation.
